In the event the Salesforce Authenticator does not function normally, you can log in to Salesforce using a code given form the Salesforce Authenticator app by following the below instructions.
1. Begin by logging in the normal way. When the authentication screen displays, select 'Having Trouble?'
2. Select the option 'Use a code from the Authenticator app'.
3. Open the Authenticator App on your phone and retrieve the six digit passcode (Note: these passcodes change rather quickly, so be sure to use the one currently displaying on your phone)
4. Enter the passcode, and you should be able to successfully log into Salesforce!
